Description

As the Business Development Manager at Cricket ACT, you will play a crucial role in expanding the organisation's commercial and community partnerships. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new revenue streams, developing strategic partnerships, and enhancing the overall commercial profile of Cricket ACT.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business development opportunities, including sponsorships, advertising, and community engagement initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and achieve organisational goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, local businesses, and community organisations
  • Negotiate and secure mutually beneficial commercial agreements that align with Cricket ACT's objectives
  • Lead Cricket ACT’s Foundation and philanthropy portfolio to meet annual revenue targets through corporate and community engagement to ultimately support a range of impactful programs
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop compelling partnership proposals and marketing collateral
  • Monitor and report on the performance of commercial partnerships, identifying areas for improvement and growth
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Cricket ACT's overall strategic plan

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar business development or sales role, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial partnerships and revenue streams
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to forge strong connections with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop creative, value-adding partnership proposals
  • Proficient in the use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and data analysis to inform business decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both internal and external audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
