About the team - The Management Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting the ASC’s financial sustainability and operational efficiency. Working closely with divisions across the organisation, the team ensures accurate financial reporting, strategic budgeting, and resource planning. By providing timely financial insights and business advice, the team helps drive informed decision-making and supports the ASC’s overall strategic objectives.
About the role - The Assistant Finance Manager will assist the Finance Managers in providing business advice and support on financial planning, resource management, budgetary control, business application systems, and risk management. This role contributes to achieving strategic priorities by ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting, supporting budget processes, and assisting in decision-making at both the program and group levels.
About you - We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in financial planning, resource management, and risk assessment within a government or corporate setting.
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Progress towards or completion of CA/CPA (highly desirable).
- Experience providing financial advice and reporting to support senior management decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of budgetary control, forecasting, and business application systems.
- emonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in managing financial resources, risk management, and business planning.
