About Us
The NBL Group, in partnership with the Wollemi Capital Group Syndicate, is redefining the future of women’s basketball in Australia. The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) is poised for an exciting transformation, with a new ownership structure, an elevated game, and a new level of excitement with the goal of being a global leader in women’s sport.
As part of its growth, the WNBL is expanding its video content production for digital and broadcast platforms to increase game viewership and brand awareness. The Video Content Editor will focus on creating and editing promotional content for the WNBL and its partners.
What You'll Do
As Video Editor, you'll be responsible for creating and editing promotional content that strengthens the WNBL's position as a leading women's professional basketball league. Reporting to the Digital Content Manager, you'll produce impactful video content that promotes game viewership, enhances brand awareness, and engages key stakeholders across broadcast and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Video Production & Editing
- Create promotional content for broadcast coverage across digital and TV formats
- Produce engaging video packages including openers and features for broadcast partners
- Develop platform-optimised content for social media channels including Instagram and TikTok
Content Development & Collaboration
- Support WNBL Clubs' video production needs to enhance fan engagement
- Work closely with broadcast partners to deliver on creative briefs
- Collaborate with the media team to maintain high production standards
Content Management & Distribution
- Manage the WNBL's video content system with precise metadata tagging
- Ensure efficient content distribution across all WNBL platforms
- Maintain quality control and adherence to content guidelines
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in sports or digital media
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Suite
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of broadcast video formats and delivery methods
- Knowledge of digital and social media video trends
- Experience with content management systems and metadata
- Interest in basketball and understanding of sports terminology
- Bachelor's degree in film production, Media, or related field (preferred)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing expertise
