We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Hockey Coaches to be involved with our Senior 1st and 2nd Boys teams and our Junior teams (Years 7-9). The ideal candidates will possess strong qualifications and experience in Hockey, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the field. 

We are looking for individuals who can inspire and elevate our players, helping them develop their skills while promoting a love for the sport. If you are passionate about Hockey and dedicated to developing young athletes, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience both playing and coaching, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches.
• Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar Hockey program.
• Work closely with the Head of Hockey to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures.

Training Schedule:

• Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Senior Teams)
• Monday and Wednesday, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM (Junior Teams)

Fixture Schedule:

• Saturday mornings (Senior Teams)
• Friday afternoons 12pm - 4pm (Junior Teams)

About you:

• Strong knowledge of Hockey and proven coaching techniques.
• Coaching accreditation is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School.
