It's an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for a School Development Coordinator to join our team at Tennis NSW and contribute to the growth of tennis participation across NSW on a permanent, full-time basis.
About the role
In this role you will build strong relationships with school sport association staff and teachers, providing them with resources and education to increase the number of school tennis competitions and school tennis programs being delivered across NSW. You will connect local tennis clubs and coaches to local schools with the aim of transitioning students from school-based competitions and programs into programs and competitions delivered at the local tennis club, helping participants move from the 'classroom to the club'.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate and execute Interschool Coloured Ball Competitions in collaboration with school sport association representatives and local tennis venues
- Plan and deliver the Todd Woodbridge Cup calendar of events
- Create connections between school tennis programs and competitions with Tennis Hot Shots programs and events at local tennis clubs
- Drive the promotion of the Teacher Ambassador program by offering schools free lesson plan resources and online learning tools and support the development and delivery of Teacher Professional Learning (TPL) practical workshops
- Collaborate with the Tennis NSW field team to conduct audits and identify affiliated tennis clubs with low school engagement
- Assist at conferences and events such as ACHPER, to drive awareness of programs
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge or experience of the NSW school sector and tennis industry, particularly at the local club level
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong presentation skills in both one-on-one & group settings
- Excellent organisational and administration skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, develop work plans, and consistently meet deadlines
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
What's in it for you?
- Career development with a range of formal education and on the job training opportunities?
- Monthly health & wellbeing activities through our Thrive program?
- Tickets to the Australian Open?

- Flexible working practices & free car parking?
