About the role
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about growing and supporting Indigenous participation in alignment with QC's goals of ensuring all Queenslanders can play, participate, and enjoy the game.
This role will be responsible for fostering strong connections with community, and leading and delivering key participation initiatives.
You'll report to the Head of Strategic Initiatives, who is a passionate advocate for equal access in sport, and values innovation, creativity and finding new solutions.
This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement for the position to be filled by a candidate indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. Candidates not meeting this criteria will not be considered.
In this role, your work will centre around:
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
You'll work to enhance the accessibility, sustainability and impact of Indigenous cricket programs. Collaborating across the organisation, you'll help identify opportunities for growth and increasing representation of Indigenous players, volunteers, umpires and coaches.
Program Delivery and Development
Oversee Indigenous cricket events and initiatives such as the Eddie Gilbert Program, and driving continuous improvement with innovative program design and delivery.
Cultural Leadership
You'll share best practices to support Queensland Cricket in evolving, maturing and enhancing its approach to diversity and inclusion. You'll lead (as a subject matter expert) the implementation of QC's RAP, coordinating actions and deliverables across the organisation.
