Description

About the Organisation

Established in 1935, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs boast a proud history of on-field and off-field success. As a unifying force in South Western Sydney, we break down social barriers and bring together people from diverse cultural backgrounds. With eight premierships to our name, we never back down from a challenge and continuously chase excellence.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Consumer Sales Officer to join our Consumer Sales team. Reporting to the Consumer Sales Manager, you will drive sales across multiple channels - including membership, ticketing, and retail - by engaging with our supporter base and delivering exceptional customer service. This role goes beyond traditional sales; you will be a brand ambassador for the Bulldogs, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our club’s passion and values.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Drive Sales Across Channels: Actively promote and sell membership packages, match tickets, and retail merchandise through outbound calls, emails and face-to-face interactions.
  • Lead Conversion & Retention: Convert leads into new consumers—be they members, ticket buyers, or retail customers—while retaining and nurturing existing relationships.
  • Upselling & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and maximise revenue by cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Campaign Support: Assist in executing telemarketing, digital, and in-person campaigns that support membership, ticketing, and retail promotions.
  • Brand Representation: Serve as a proud ambassador for the Bulldogs, ensuring every interaction upholds our club’s values and passion for the game.

Customer Service

  • Enhance the Fan Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service that elevates the overall fan experience across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer issues promptly and effectively, escalating priority concerns when necessary.
  • Proactive Engagement: Follow up with consumers to ensure satisfaction and continued engagement with our club’s offerings.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Process Transactions: Accurately process new memberships, ticket sales, retail transactions, and renewals through our CRM and point-of-sale systems.
  • Data Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records in compliance with data privacy standards.
  • Reporting & Coordination: Assist with data entry, reporting, and account management, while coordinating with retail and ticketing teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Event Support: Provide operational support at match days, club events, and community activations, including retail pop-ups and ticketing operations.

Key Outcomes

  • Achieve and exceed sales and retention targets across membership, ticketing, and retail channels.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement throughout the consumer journey.
  • Contribute to the overall revenue growth and expansion of the Bulldogs’ consumer base.
  • Support strategic initiatives aimed at maximising sales opportunities and delivering accurate, timely sales reports.
