Description

A wonderful opportunity exists for a mature, enthusiastic and positive person to join the Hockey ACT team. The primary purpose of the role is to support the administration and delivery of Hockey ACT competitions, while also managing general office tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the Hockey ACT office. 

  • Flexible part-time hours, ideally spread over 5 days.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Competitions

  • Assist with the management of Hockey ACT’s membership database, currently operated through RevSport.
  • Complete weekly competition reporting as required.
  • Assist the membership coordinator in the organisation and delivery of Hockey ACT Competitions.
  • Rostering of casual grounds managers throughout summer competitions.

Office Management

  • Answering phone calls, responding to emails, stationary supplies, IT services and general administration duties.
  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Assist various staff as required to assist them with various tasks during busy periods.

ABOUT HOCKEY ACT

Hockey ACT (HACT) is the not-for-profit state sporting organisation responsible for the development, governance, promotion and delivery of hockey programs within the ACT. HACT comprises of 22 member clubs and owns and operates two facilities The National Hockey Centre at Lyneham and Tuggeranong Hockey Park, Greenway. HACT is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community, with a strong emphasis on supporting initiatives such as Reconciliation, LGBTQ+ inclusion, mental health awareness through Livin for Hockey and breast cancer awareness. We believe in creating a welcoming environment for all individuals to participate in the sport, regardless of background or identity.
