The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™.
You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™ in Australia.
This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.

Your Next Big Match
Through close collaboration and coordination with LOC Accreditation Manager, the Accreditation Coordinator will help to ensure that the operations relating to the movements of persons holding an access device into and within the stadium and training sites meet the requirements and provide efficient, safe and well-planned ingress, circulation and egress. This role involves the operational planning and management of all accreditation operations that go towards ensuring effective Tournament delivery in accordance with AFC requirements outlined in the Organising Association Agreement OAA), Stadium Technical Annex (STA), List of Requirements, Policies/ Guidelines and other AFC directives.
Please note that this role is fixed term until March 2026.
- Plan and deliver accreditation services for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™ in Australia.
- Support the development of accreditation operations, including client accreditation processes and system setup.
- Coordinate with safety and security teams to ensure data protection, access control, and wayfinding meet AFC standards.
- Oversee procurement and training, developing materials for Venue Accreditation Managers, local staff, and volunteers.
- Create zoning plans and access control systems for competition venues, training sites, and hotels in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Transition into an operational role during the tournament, ensuring seamless accreditation execution at city/stadium venues.

What Gets You in the Game?
- Experience in accreditation, venue management, or event operations, with knowledge of stadium venue operations.
- Strong understanding of accreditation and access management, including policy development and operational delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in team collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in IT systems and project management tools, including MS Office, MS Teams, Smartsheet, and SharePoint.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, ensuring seamless accreditation integration within venue operations.
Must demonstrate the ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one united team, and consistently strive for excellence.

- Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
- International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
- Out of hours and weekend work as required
