About the role
We are looking for a Senior Coach to join our team at Tennis World Sydney on a full-time ongoing basis. This position is contributing towards the effective implementation, growth, and development of the tennis coaching programs at Tennis World Sydney, focusing on Hot Shots with oversight of all administrative aspects of the Hot Shots and Junior coaching program. This role will ensure world class customer service on and off the court, growth and development of junior coaching programs, camps, cardio tennis and social competitions to engage players more regularly and create a positive environment within the site.
The Senior Coach will provide leadership to the casual coaching team, driving a culture that embraces the Tennis World brand and actively promotes our best practice programs and outstanding customer service.
Administratively this position will assist in managing weekly competitions and competitive play opportunities at various times throughout the term, including but not limited to Hot Shots Challenges, Talent Hub performance, UTR Match Play, Adult Social Play and Club Championships.
Reporting to the Tennis World Sydney - Head Coach, you will:
- Set individual coach benchmarks in consultation with coaching staff.
- Seek to improve efficiencies and consumer experience in the delivery of service.
- Ensure all staff deliver consistent themes and messages to the stakeholders that reflect the priorities of the program and the customer.
- Design and maintain processes and policies relating to Competitive Play at Tennis World including draws and rules for Competitions and Tournaments.
- Support the planning and allocation of resources for coaching clinics, events and camps.
- Plan and conduct holiday programs and camps to compliment weekly in term lessons
About you
What you will bring to the role:
- Strong knowledge of best practice coaching, both in Australian & Overseas
- Proven experience coaching all ages and abilities (e.g. pre-schoolers through to adults)
- Previous delivery experience within Tennis Australia program pathway is preferred
- Experience in delivering and setting up full time school-based programs
- Highly effective organisational and communication skills with the ability to be creative in program creation and implementation
- Experience in team leadership, staff management, and ability to create an inclusive environment
- Tennis Club Professional Coach Qualification (preferred)
- Tennis Australia Coach Membership and first aid certification is required
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Woking with Children Check
