What you bring to the table
The part-time Game Development Coach & Community Programs Facilitator role is tasked with supporting the ongoing growth of the Club’s talent pathway programs; the Next Generation Academy (NGA) and our Community programs. Reporting to the Game Development Manager and engaged for 22.5 hours (0.6FTE) per week, you’ll play a key role in coaching and mentoring these initiatives and fostering meaningful connections within the WA school system. The scope of the role will include:
Delivering Talent Development Pathways: Develop and implement football programs tailored to different age groups for NGA participants.
Coaching: Actively coaching and mentoring the Male and Female NGA under-age football programs.
Delivering School Engagements: Plan and deliver football development sessions for primary school-aged children as part of FFC-branded School Programs and Competitions.
Supporting Community Programs: Assist in the delivery of Community events, match day activations, and other initiatives as needed.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a candidate who brings:
Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation desirable
Demonstrated facilitation and people management skills, preferably in the AFL / sports industry
Proven success in developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
Robust organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to strict timelines in a fast-paced team environment
Current or willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate
