Description

The Ticketing Operations Manager is responsible for leading the ticketing operations at SQ venues to ensure seamless event onsales and event day delivery.

This position involves managing the entire ticketing process from onsale planning, event delivery and post-event reporting, including working closely with SQ venue event delivery teams, venue hirers and ticketing service providers to manage event builds, ticket inventory, pricing, product tilization, event day access control, settlements and reporting.

As a ticketing operations specialist, the role demands a self-driven, strategic, collaborative and data-driven leader to optimize ticketing operations, deliver exceptional fan experiences, and drive customer engagement.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure flawless execution of the entire ticketing process, from strategic onsale planning to post-event settlement and reporting
  • Lead the development, review and maintenance of venue models, including capacities, scaling, inventory allocation, gate loading and pricing structures
  • Serve as the primary contact for hirer ticketing/consumer departments and ticketing service providers to lead event build planning and onsale execution
  • Monitor, report and troubleshoot the lifecycle for events from onsale, including inventory and pricing, customer queries and advocacy, and sales performance
  • Manage all internal ticketing requirements including monitoring, generating, distributing and reporting on venue contractual ticketing allocations
  • Collaborate with venues, hirers and ticketing service providers, to plan and execute event day delivery to ensure seamless ticketing operations across the box office, access control, customer queries and troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Provide instruction and ensure delivery of venue requirements relating to access control needs for events, including gate loading, access control rules, product and technology utilization, and reporting
  • Fulfill the role of ticketing lead on event days to act as the primary venue contact point for event delivery, to troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues, and to ensure a seamless execution of ticketing event operations.
  • Provide high level, strategic analysis, advice and support to the Consumer Business Lead as a key input to SQ’s Ticketing Strategy, and in support of any other strategy, framework or plan to drive enhanced fan experiences and positive business outcomes for SQ and its partners.
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement activities through regular engagement with ticketing service providers, hirers and industry.

About You

  • 3 or more years’ experience in dedicated ticketing and/or membership roles within a major event stadium or venue, premium sporting organisation, international level entertainment promoter, and/or ticketing services provider organisation.
  • Advanced knowledge and technical skills in mainstream ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketek, Ticketmaster, AXS)
  • Highly developed event planning and execution skills for major events (events that exceed 10,000) in

Please note: Our office is temporarily located at The Gabba and/or Sports House Milton, and we will be relocating back to our head office at Milton in June 2025.
