THE POSITION:

The Showground Division is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team. This position is job share and responsible for the provision of front reception related duties to all Showground customers and hirers. This includes phone enquiries, cash handling, bookings for sporting fields, functions, markets, events and general administrative duties relating to the role. This unique and challenging role is expected to receive and deal with enquiries, develop and implement procedures, develop visitation data, produce monthly reports, provide tours and explanation of area for hire, coordinate requirements & ensure facility/area is presentable and ready for clients booking.

This role administers the bookings of the Showgrounds venue space and physical resources to ensure optimum usage, operational efficiency and exceptional customer satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experience with facility management & computerised bookings systems
  • Skills and experience working within customer service
  • Organisation, project and time management skills combined with the ability to work unsupervised, handling competing priorities to adapt to fluctuating workloads and changing priorities
  • Ability to apply initiative and problem solve on issues
  • Interpersonal and communication skills including oral, written and verbal skills
  • Builds and maintains relationships by keeping clients and internal stakeholders informed, managing progress and responding to changes in client needs
  • Experience in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including email and internet as well as databases

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Permanent part-time position, 14 hours per week.
  • This position is a Grade 3, with a commencing hourly rate of $36.37 per hour.
  • Standard Hours of Work: Between 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday. However, commencing and finishing times will vary and depend on operational needs. Initially the hours and days of work will be Thursday & Friday 9am - 5pm.
  • This position is job share as such will be expected to work additional hours from time to time providing back fill for other staff during annual leave or sick periods.
