Northern Suburbs Rugby Club competes in the NSW Rugby Premier Club Rugby Competition, known as the Shute Shield. The club boasts a proud history dating back to 1900, boasting many Australian, International, NSW and Super Rugby representative players.
We have an elite S and C team and are looking for somebody with initiative, personality and leadership qualities.
At Norths we believe that being an S and C at any level is not a spectator sport, we want you to be in working with the teams and having a real impact on the players. We have a proven record of Performance, with our first grade team making the finals every year since 2016, minor premiers 2022 and 2023 and grand finalists 2023 and 2024.
The club-wide approach to strength and conditioning will allow you to implement a proven conditioning program that produces amazing athletes with minimal injuries.
As an intern or volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach with Norths, you will work closely with our talented rugby athletes to develop and implement cutting-edge strength and conditioning programs tailored to their specific needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our players are physically prepared to compete at their best and achieve our team's goals.
Successful coaches will gain skills in:
- Pre-season and in-season Speed and Agility development.
- Pre-season and in-season Weight raining program design
- Energy System Development specific to pre and in season
- Acute and Long-term rehabilitation management.
- Live in session GPS data monitoring
- GPS Collection and reporting (Catapult).
- Working with male semi-professional athletes.
- Pre-season and in-season Periodisation scheduling.
Training Times and Locations:
January - March
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Primrose Park Cammery
- Saturdays, 7 AM - 8.30 AM Primrose Park Cammeray
April - August
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Primrose Park Cammery
- Saturdays: Game Day at various locations around NSW (depending on the draw).
