WestVic Academy of Sport is looking for its next leader!

The role requires an outstanding team leader with strategic vision, business acumen, strong program management skills, with an innovative, flexible and decisive work-style to continue to support Athletes across Western Victoria.

Reporting to the Chairman and a Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will:

• Contribute to the development of the organisation's strategy and be responsible for its implementation, including regular reporting of performance to the Board.
• Assist the Board to appropriately govern the organisation including development of Board policies and associated procedures and be responsible for the financial management of the organisation.
• Manage staff, coaches, sub-contractors and volunteers and oversee all operational matters.
• Represent the Academy when dealing with the State Government, Sport & Recreation Victoria, Victorian Institute of Sport, Federation University, City of Ballarat, other key stakeholders and the community.

The role requires an outstanding team leader with strategic vision, business acumen, strong program and project management skills, an innovative, flexible and decisive work-style along with high-level negotiation, presentation and communication skills. The CEO is responsible for the management of the Academy by continually developing and implementing processes, systems and programs in order to meet the mission, vision, strategic and operational aims of the Academy.
