It's an exciting time for tennis in Australia and we have ambitious plans to continue to grow the game from grassroots through to high performance. We are transforming how we deliver tennis, with the aim of making it more accessible, to more people, more often. To help us achieve our plan we are looking for a School Development Coordinator to join our team at Tennis Queensland and contribute to the growth of tennis participation across QLD on a permanent, full-time basis.

About the role
The School Development Coordinator is responsible for the statewide implementation of tennis being played within school environments, with a strong focus on relationship-building with key stakeholders and competition delivery. This role will proactively strengthen relationships with schools, school sport associations, and community inclusion groups to establish long-term partnerships that support increased tennis participation.
In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with school representatives, inclusion stakeholders, and community groups to build trust and encourage long-term engagement in tennis.
- Support and mentor deliverers (coaches, teachers, and club representatives) to maintain positive relationships with schools and key inclusion stakeholders.
- Influence and support coaches to develop structured pathways from schools to clubs, ensuring clear progression opportunities for students.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive tennis plan for school-based competitions.
- Manage relationships with school sport governing bodies to integrate tennis into competition structures.
- Lead the delivery of Tennis Queensland's diversity and inclusion events.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong understanding of the tennis industry, school sports & inclusion initiatives
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong presentation skills in both one-on-one & group settings
- Excellent organisational and administration skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, develop work plans, and consistently meet deadlines
- A tertiary degree in a relevant field (Education, Sports Management, or related areas) (advantageous)
- Tournament directing/management experience (advantageous)
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Blue Card
- Preparedness to be flexible regarding working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Queensland
