Complete team sheets electronically and print 3 copies to take to the game
Make sure players/volunteers have filled game day roles
Before home games, check Club social media on Friday to see if your team is first or last Fitzroy team. This will determine if you will be responsible for either setting up or packing up the ground.
Match Day
Arrive at least one hour before the game - 90 minutes if you need to set up home games
Find Fitzroy change rooms and bring in water bottles, team kit and warm up tops.
Check to see trainers have everything they need
Check to see if any players need jumpers (juniors playing up for the week etc)
Check you have all players jumper numbers correct on team sheet and make any changes
Give out gear to the people doing the game day roles (and instructions if needed
Take team sheet to Opposition Team Manager (ask other Club supporters or at canteen)
By/at half-time, deliver one team sheet to the umpires – you can drop it in their room or hand it to them
At the end of the game, take scorecard from goal umpire to umpires and ask if any reports/issues
At end of game, ask Coach to give you the goal kickers (either you or they can write on the team sheet) and the VAFA votes
Post-Match Day
Update team sheets electronically before 10am Monday - change any player names and jumpers as needed, add in votes and goal kickers
Wash shirts used by volunteers and replace in team box
Wash water bottles
Keep a copy of printed team sheet and any other scorecards etc in a folder.
