Description

Western Sydney Wanderers FC are seeking an Academy Operations Manager to provide administrative and operational support to the WSW Academy Technical Director (Boys/Girls) and Academy staff. The role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient delivery of academy programs, and assisting with logistical planning and communication.

Key Areas of Responsibility 

  • The planning and running of the WSW Academy fixtures.
  • Assisting with the planning and running of the other WSW fixtures as advised.
  • Coordination of all administration tasks for the WSW Academy teams. 
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Academy Technical Director and Academy Coaches.
  • Liaise with all Academy players and parents to ensure they all are informed of training and match details, ahead of time.
  • Liaise with FNSW and any other Governing Bodies to ensure relevant regulations, club licencing and submission deadlines are met.
  • Administer Play Football registrations and Dribl online systems.
  • Coordinating the management of kit and equipment for Academy training and matches days. Ensuring they are cleaned and stored as required.
  • Coordinate team sheets and match reports for both home and away matches.
  • Booking of training pitches and match venues.
  • Ensure child safeguarding regulations are adhered to and Working With Children Checks are up to date.
  • Assisting the Technical Director to coordinate and manager the Academy team budget keeping within set parameters.
  • Other administrative tasks as directed by the Academy Technical Director.

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with a range of stakeholders throughout the football industry
  • Ability to manage, multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and solve problems
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Willingness to work outside normal hours and weekends to deliver fixtures
  • A “can do” positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Desire to deliver above the expected standard
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Advanced IT knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Ability to take direction
  • Professional manner
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information discretely and with confidentiality

Unique Criteria

Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as irregular hours and weekend work will be required for this role, such as working at home and away games.
