Guildford Grammar School are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Netball Coaches to be involved with our Senior & Junior teams over the Winter Season. The ideal candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience in Netball, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the court. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, supportive, and high-performance environment where our students can thrive. 

If you are passionate about Netball and dedicated to developing young athletes, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience both playing and coaching, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches.
  • Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar Netball program.
  • Work closely with the Head of Netball to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures.

Training Schedule (depending on the team you’ll be coaching)

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Seniors)
  • Monday and Wednesday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Juniors)

Fixture Schedule:

  • Saturday’s (time dependent on the assigned team)

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of Netball and proven coaching techniques.
  • Coaching accreditation preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
