Your Role:
Are you ready to be the engine behind our administrative excellence and communications sparkle? As our Administrative and Communications Officer, you'll be the dynamic force that keeps our office running smoothly while also amplifying our message online. This is your chance to blend creative energy with practical skills to make a real difference!
What You’ll Do:
Administrative Tasks:
Office Dynamo:
- Answer calls, respond to emails, and manage office supplies with a can-do attitude.
- organise and maintain both electronic and paper files in an efficient, user-friendly way.
Event Maestro:
- Assist with planning and executing exciting events and sports activities.
- Coordinate logistics - from venue bookings to catering - ensuring every detail is on point.
Data & Finance Whiz:
- Keep our databases and contact lists updated, tracking participant engagement with precision.
- Support basic bookkeeping tasks and prepare financial reports for the operations manager.
Policy Innovator:
- Dive into our current policies and guides - review, assess, and critique them to align with best in class standards.
- Provide creative recommendations to refine and elevate our operational standards.
Marketing, Social Media and Communication Tasks:
Content Creator Extraordinaire:
- Craft engaging and visually appealing content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Develop fresh graphics, photos, and videos that capture the energy of our community.
- Tell our stories: Share the wonderful stories of our members and highlight our partnerships with other organisations.
- Manage, Plan and Schedule content using Meta Business Suite
Community Builder:
- Monitor and interact with our vibrant online community, sparking conversations and boosting engagement.
- Campaign Catalyst:
- Plan and execute innovative social media campaigns that promote our events and initiatives.
- Analysis campaign performance to continuously improve our digital footprint.
Digital Asset Management:
- Website Updates: Ensure our website stays current with the latest news and updates, including calender updates.
Desirables:
- A natural organiser with exceptional multitasking and communication skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Experience in graphic design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) to bring creative ideas to life.
- Basic bookkeeping skills and a knack for numbers.
- A genuine passion for inclusivity and a commitment to supporting the vision-impaired community
- Copywriting and EDM experience
- MailChimp and RevolutioniseSport knowledge and experience, or previous experience with backend management of website
- Knowledge and/or experience using Meta Business Suite, Business Manager and Ads Manager
Location: Office at Sports House, Sydney Olympic Park. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
Ability to work occasionally out of traditional hours and on weekends
