THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sports Coordinator to join our dynamic Sports Team. 

The Sports Coordinator will have the responsibility of the efficient and effective operation of three (3) to four (4) designated sporting programs from Prep to Year 12 at St Aidan’s. Sports allocated to the Coordinator will be dependent on the experience, interest and qualifications of the individual as well as the scheduling of sports. 

This position offers flexible work arrangements of 38 hours per week, during term time, that is dependent upon specific sport program’s training sessions, fixtures and school holiday training (if required).

The position requires 38 hours per week during school term time, along with 5 additional weeks across the school holidays, equating to 43 weeks per year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and facilitate all fixtures (including QGSSSA, Andrew’s Cup and Club sports) and compilation of results.
  • Support the Head of Sport to ensure the effective delivery of the sport program.
  • Assist the Head of Sport to engage coaches with the necessary skills, qualifications, and experience to assist with the delivery of the sport program.
  • Manage Facilities and Equipment

EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics coordination or sports administration required.
  • Coaching qualifications or demonstrated experience in coaching of sport/s (highly desirable). 
  • Experience in an all-girls’ school setting (desirable).
  • An ability to hold a Working with Children - Blue Card as issued by the Queensland Government
  • An ability to hold a current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate.
