Little Athletics Queensland are on the lookout for someone to lead the set-up and delivery of our development programs on the Sunshine Coast. This position will be responsible for growing participation in the region through building positive relationships with schools and implementing the Ultimate Athletics program in the community. This is a 6-month placement (April 2025 -October 2025) with the view to establish self-sustaining structures that will cater for continued future employment. The role is structured around 23 hours per week and will involve the following tasks.
Schools: Manage the set up and delivery of the newly created Ultimate Athletics programs through Sunshine Coast Primary Schools.
Education: Assist with the set-up of LAQ education programs for parents, coaches & volunteers.
Staff: Assist with the identification of casual staff to deliver school-based programs.
Centres: Provide feedback to LAQ management relating to LAC Centres & operating procedures.
Athlete Development: Identify athlete development opportunities for the region.
We are seeking people with:
Some knowledge of athletics and particularly Little Athletics.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with teachers, parents & children.
Excellent program planning and delivery skills.
Excellent decision making & organisation.
Good energy & an enjoyment for coaching.
High level of customer focus.
Ability to lead and work effectively with others as part of a team.
Willingness to work effectively in flexible environment and keep to tight timelines.
