Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a Head Coach to drive our surf sports program to new heights. As the reigning World Youth Champions and one of the top-performing clubs in Australia, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and athlete development.
About the Role
As Head Coach, you will:
Lead and implement high-performance training programs across all surf sports disciplines
Mentor and coordinate professional and volunteer coaches
Develop and nurture talent from Nippers through to Open and Masters competition
Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performance team culture
Provide technical coaching, athlete feedback, and strategic competition preparation
Formulate clear athlete development pathways
Oversee administration, safety, and equipment management related to coaching activities
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Extensive coaching experience with a proven track record of athlete success Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 Surf Coach Accreditation (additional qualifications preferred) Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and mentor athletes and coaches Commitment: A passion for long-term athlete development Compliance: Must hold (or be eligible for) a Working with Children Blue Card
