Job Overview:
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Front of House Staff members to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will provide excellent customer service, ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who visits Hoop City Cheltenham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome all guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression of Hoop City Cheltenham.
- Manage bookings, reservations, and inquiries both in person, over the phone and email.
- Assist guests with their needs, providing information about our facilities, programs, and any events or activities happening on-site.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the front desk area and other public spaces.
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to and maintain a safe environment for all guests.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints in a professional and calm manner.
- Assist in the promotion of special events, membership offers, and other services provided by Hoop City Cheltenham.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge in basketball in Victoria and Nationally. (VBJL, NBL1, Youth Leauge etc)
- A background in sales is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive and proactive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Previous experience in customer service, or front of house roles is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- First Aid, CPR, Working with Children qualifications is an advantage or open to doing the courses.
