Description

The purpose of the Senior Operations Coordinator is to assist in the delivery of non-event day operations of the venue, including security operations, venue access and associated accreditation systems, periodical and functions cleaning programs, venue event preparations, emergency and risk management and tenant operational issues.

Key Tasks

  •  Develop and maintain positive and effective stakeholder, tenant and contractor relationship management.
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with the Gabba and SQ teams, ensuring shared outcomes are achieved.
  • Develop, implement and review operational procedures for non-event day venue presentation including cleaning and waste management, security and accreditation.
  • Manage and coordinate the venue's day-to-day precinct activity schedule including deliveries, car parking, general access requests to ensure impacts are minimised.
  • Manage and coordinate non-event day functions including pre, during and post requirements.
  • Coordinate non-event day security services including training and briefings for the 24/7 static site team.
  • Assist with the review and best practice requirements relating to Emergency Management training and compliance
  • Coordinate and implement the venue's WHS activities including compliance training and audits.
  • Manage the administration of the venue's incident reporting process and systems ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage use and operation of venue's building management systems, including but not limited to CCTV, Access Control, Exterity, CVMS, Keywatcher and digital signage.
  • Coordinate and manage schedule for non-event day digital signage as well as media, filming and photo shoots for the venue in consultation with Operations Manager and Corporate Office teams.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with SQ’s policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of workplace health and safety, security management, equal employment opportunity, workplace harassment, bullying and discrimination.

About You

  • 2 years’ experience in providing operations coordination at a major venue or facility.
  • High level communication and conflict management skills.
  • Strong planning and time management skills - proactive, ability to prioritise tasks, and customer service focused.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of venue operation procedures.
  • High level administration skills with demonstrated experience in developing policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of emergency management procedures and event procedures.
  • Experience developing and delivering training material.
  • Knowledge of WHS Act and regulations.
  • Experience in Building Management Systems including CCTV, electronic access control, Exterity, CVMS and Keywatcher.
  • Demonstrated experience developing social media content and media campaigns.
  • High work ethic, commitment to professional presentation, ethical practice and flexibility in the workplace.
