About the role

The Parramatta Eels are looking for a Digital Content Producer to join the Club’s Marketing, Digital & Content team. The Digital Content Producer is responsible for involve producing, capturing and publishing mixed media content (including graphics, video, photos and editorial) across the Club’s digital channels. Working closely with NRL, NRLW and Pathways players and occasionally external talent, production will range from ad hoc, low-fi video capture through to producing engaging social graphics. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Content & Digital Commercialisation, this successful candidate will act as a key contributor to the execution of the Club’s Member engagement and fan development strategies, working closely with teams across the business including Football, Consumer and Partnerships.

The ideal candidate will need to be personable and professional, with a love for creating engaging content. This role is ideally suited to someone with self-motivation, autonomy, drive and creativity.

The successful applicant will be responsible for

  • Produce and publish content across the Club’s key engagement channels e.g. in-feed graphics, stories and carousel galleries for social channels, TikTok posts and short articles for the Club website.
  • Create engaging content that makes members feel like VIPs e.g inner-sanctum BTS video content for PARRA+.
  • Work closely with the Football department and the Content team to capture key moments during from training, game days, behind-the-scenes and internal operations of the Club.
  • Contribute to the execution of our community management strategy by responding appropriately to comments and feedback across the Club’s social channels. 
  • Work with external contractors, content creators/influencers, ex-players and other external talent as required.
  • Assist the rest of the Content Team on high-production shoots and content/media days, as required.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a multi-channel digital content strategy that aligns with the Club’s overarching strategic vision and priorities.
  • When required, travel to events such as away fixtures and training camps, and attend every Parramatta Eels home game at CommBank Stadium.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends across content and social.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications or similar.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as content producer or in a similar role.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills and experience with producing high-quality graphics and editing raw photos using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom.
  • Experience capturing video using low-fi devices such as iPhones and GoPro.
  • Experience with video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro is not essential, but will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience working in a sports or high-performance environment will be highly regarded
  • Adaptability with a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, after hours and game days.
