Brisbane State High School has a proud history where the Extra-Curricular (E-C) Program is an integral part of the State High experience. Tradition is valued, honouring the past while maintaining a strong and consistent identity.

Our football program has a history of excellence, producing numerous state and national representatives. We compete in the GPS competition, providing students with high-level development opportunities in a structured and competitive environment.

We are seeking committed and enthusiastic volunteer football coaches to join our program for the 2025 GPS football season.

About the Role

Successful applicants will be assigned to support either a Junior or Senior age group (preferences considered). Coaches will play a key role in developing players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall growth in the game.

Commitment:

• Attend one training sessions per week (Juniors on a Tuesday afternoon or Seniors on a Thursday afternoon)
• Coach on GPS match days (Saturdays) throughout the season (8 weeks, 1 hour games)

Key Dates:

• Start Date: Week of April 21, 2025
• End Date: June 14, 2025 (conclusion of GPS Football season)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Working with Children (Blue Card)
• Desirable:
  • Any level of coaching qualification
  • Prior experience in coaching or playing at a competitive level
