Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) is an award winning health and fitness centre in the Frankston area. Opening in 2014, PARC continues to provide the local community with a wide range of health and fitness services including a state-of-the-art gym, extensive group exercise timetable, warm water pool, lap swimming, learn to swim pool (swimming lessons run by PARC Swim 7 days a week), aquatic playground and water slides.
Peninsula Leisure has an exciting opportunity for a customer service and administrative superstar to join our team in a full-time role. We are a seeking passionate, motivated and customer focused individual to join our PARC family.
About the role:
The PARC Swim Program Customer Service Officer role will support the PARC Swim team and provide excellent customer service to our nearly 2500 PARC Swim members. Having great communication and desire to interact with customers, initiative, and problem-solving skills, are key components of this role. This is a great first step into leadership within the aquatics and leisure industry. The role includes working closely with multiple departments in Peninsula Leisure, having exposure to core business drivers and be part of our team growth journey.
Specifically, the role will include the following:
- Support the PARC Swim Manager and PARC Swim Coordinators with administration and other tasks as required
- Support all swim teachers and deck supervisors
- Actively listen to member and guest feedback, recording and reporting through correct mechanisms
- Compassionately demonstrate the ability to diffuse complaints and look to resolve in the first instance
- Deck supervise as required
- Make age level and skill level movements for PARC Swim members
- Answer phone calls and respond to voice messages, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided
- Access emails from/ to PARC Swim members/ parents and respond where appropriate, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided
- Support the team to deliver membership sales and membership retention activities
- Work with the team to respond to and handle incidents / complaints / feedback as required
- Actively contribute to and foster a positive, constructive and supportive team culture
- Be flexible in the approach to work and ready for last minute changes
- Be a role model for the team, always leading by example and displaying exceptional customer service standards at all times
- Ensure tasks are complete and up to date in a timely manner
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required

Key Selection criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in a high volume and high performing customer service environment
- Computer literacy - competent knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and social media etc
- Sound administration skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Ability to learn new programming systems
- Excellent telephone, verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and representational skills
- Minimum availability for some evening and weekend hours, to be negotiated
Minimum Qualification:
- Current Working With Children Check (Employer)
- Current HLTAID009 CPR qualification
