An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and dynamic Partnerships Manager to join our team, based at our head office in Cheltenham.

THE POSITION

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Partnerships Manager who has a strong interest in netball and participation to lead and execute strategic growth initiatives for GILBERT Netball in Australia. 

The role focuses on expanding market share, building relationships with key stakeholders in the netball community, and driving revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and online sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for hitting sales targets and achieving specific KPIs.

It will suit someone who thrives on multi-tasking with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-environment and who is committed to delivering the highest standards of service to both internal and external stakeholders. 

Please note this is a full-time, office-based role with some local and interstate travel plus some weekend work required.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Assist Brand Manager to develop and implement a business development plan to increase brand visibility and sales in AU and NZ.
  • Manage existing netball partnership key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact; order product and ensure optimal service and timely delivery of goods.
  • Negotiating contract renewals and exploring new partnership opportunities.
  • Contract analysis to ensure commercial opportunities are aligned with business strategies.
  • Exceed sales targets and contribute directly to revenue growth by driving direct sales of netball products. 
  • Achieve KPIs relating to expanding the brand presence within netball. 
  • Identify and secure new partnership opportunities with netball associations, clubs and schools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key netball accounts and partnerships. 
  • Lead and attend activations to promote and sell GILBERT Netball across various events.
  • Identify and secure new corporate sales opportunities to drive revenue growth across GILBERT Netball.
  • Collaborate with marketing and partnership team to assist with creating campaigns for netball that drive engagement and support business objectives.
  • Track sales performance and report regularly market insights and action plans to senior management.
  • Represent GILBERT Netball at industry events, tournaments, and networking opportunities.

THE PERSON

This person will be a key team player and involved in a broad range of projects.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in the sports or retail sector.
  • A strong understanding of netball and its community in Australia is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel domestically as required.
  • A pro-active approach with exceptional attention to detail, organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and manage their workload to ensure key deadlines are met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels, both with our internal team and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience working with SAP is preferred (but not essential).
  • A passion for sports and familiarity with the sporting goods industry is a strong plus.

Plus will be self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with a sense of ownership of duties.
