About the role

As the Community & Growth Lead - Club Development, Inclusion & Diversity at Hockey WA, we are seeking someone passionate and strategic to drive the development, engagement, and inclusivity of our club network. This role is essential in fostering a thriving, diverse, and dynamic community where members feel valued, empowered, and inspired to contribute.

As a key leader, you'll focus on club development, inclusion, and diversity, ensuring that our initiatives reach and resonate with individuals from all backgrounds. Through innovative engagement strategies, strategic partnerships, and community-driven programming, you will create an environment where every member has the opportunity to grow, lead, and connect.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing strategies to expand and strengthen club membership, ensuring sustainable growth. 
  • Fostering an inclusive and welcoming community that embraces diversity and encourages participation from underrepresented groups. 
  • Creating and executing initiatives that enhance member engagement, leadership development, and retention. 
  • Building partnerships with organisations, community leaders, and stakeholders to support and amplify club initiatives. 
  • Analysing data and member feedback to drive improvements and ensure alignment with the organisation’s mission and values.

What we're looking for

  • Proficiency in Information Technology. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program budgets and adhere to program and wider departmental budgets. 
  • Preparedness to be flexible in respect to work hours and intrastate/interstate travel. 
  • Ability to establish own networks and maximise both internal and external networking opportunities. 
  • High level communication skills and ability to elicit cooperation from and work with a diverse group of people/stakeholders. 
  • Is a cooperative team member who can balance their own needs with those of the team. 
  • Ability to provide accurate written information using forms, templates and language appropriate to the task. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload to agreed timeframes. 
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise work and maximise the use of internal and external resources to achieve outcomes.
