ABOUT THE ROLE
The AFLPA is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the delivery of analytics and insights across the AFLPA business in line with the AFLPA’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Data & Insights, the role will have a focus on using internal and external data sources to build greater understanding of the experience and needs of AFLPA members (current and past AFL and AFLW players), the effectiveness of AFLPA programs and services, and analysis to support AFLPA positions and objectives.
The successful candidate will thrive working in an environment where they are managing multiple projects. They will have strong analytical skills, experience managing surveys and data platforms including PowerBI, and the ability to translate complex insights into clear insights and actions.
They will excel in stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and project management, ensuring data-driven decision-making supports AFLPA objectives. They will have a tertiary qualification in a quantitative field (eg. Finance, commerce, mathematics, data science, IT, etc).
The AFL Players’ Association is the representative body for current and past AFL and AFLW player members. The AFLPA has grown in influence and size over its 52-year history to become a respected advocate of players and a key stakeholder in the game.
