About the team - The Performance Pathways and Programs branch assists National Sporting Organisations to plan, monitor and review their current and future cycle high performance strategies, including sport relevant athlete pathway strategies and specific campaign plans. 

About the role - The role will drive and implement the projects and desired outcomes identified through the ASC strategic plan and Australia’s Win Well High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy. We are looking for a Performance Pathways and Programs Advisor to provide high quality support and advice to the AIS Performance Pathways and Programs Branch undertaking a range of identified projects, coordination, communications and logistical work to ensure the team functions efficiently and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

About you - We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent attention to detail who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Sports Management, Business or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in effectively engaging and communicating with external public sector stakeholders and government agencies, including through formal reports, briefings, and collaborative partnerships.
  • Experience managing IT systems, including Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems used within the ASC (training will be provided for ASC-specific tools).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and maintaining policies, procedures, and records related to program management, high-performance sport, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of high performance sport and the demands and challenges for internal and external high performance agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with grant programs and program evaluation frameworks
  • Exceptional organisational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate activities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders, deliver presentations, and produce high-quality reports and briefings. 

This position is offered as a FIXED TERM position until the 6th of March 2026, with the possibility of being extended.
