The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is looking for a dynamic Media and Communications Manager to elevate our community initiatives and share the Olympic Spirit across Australia and the Pacific.

As our Media and Communications Manager, you will:

• Develop and execute media and communications plans for AOC programs including Olympics Unleashed, Australian Olympic Change-Maker and Have-A-Go.
• Be a key point of contact for media, liaising with journalists on story opportunities.
• Work closely with the AOC's Community team to identify and craft compelling storytelling opportunities that put athletes at the heart of our initiatives.
• Create media releases, key messages, fact sheets, and event briefs.
• Secure national media coverage for AOC’s community initiatives.
• Collaborate with program partners and integrate their needs into communication activities.
• Support the AOC’s digital media strategy and produce content for social media channels.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in communications or relevant industry experience in public relations and/or media.
• Excellent storytelling and writing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders, athletes, and volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of digital media and sport, particularly Olympic sports.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to media monitoring and risk mitigation.

Additional Information:

• Occasional regional, domestic and international travel will be required.
