About the Role
This exciting position will be responsible for providing operational support and strategic guidance to Netball Australia (NA) in the development and execution of initiatives designed to enhance its media, broadcast, and content portfolio, through conducting comprehensive analyses, supporting the development of strategic business cases and opportunities, and providing practical support to optimise reach, engagement, and revenue generation across all relevant platforms. This is a full-time opportunity working on a 12-month fixed term basis.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the management of partnerships and be a point of contact for netball’s broadcast and content partnerships for all NA and into the broader Netball Australia organisation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including SSN and event operations, partnerships, marketing, media, and content teams, to develop opportunities for both NA and NA partners.
- Manage contract deliverables to ensure all entitlements are delivered across both domestic and international broadcast partners.
- Contribute to production planning, ensuring the viewer experience aligns to brand positioning and maximising audiences and their engagement
- Support the end-to-end broadcast production process for pathway netball events, including
- procurement of productions partners, and distribution.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Broadcast, Content, and Digital Partnerships Manager, including regular progress reports of deliverables.
- Evaluate broadcast performance metrics and audience feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation, informing future broadcast, media and content strategies and initiatives.
- Support the management of budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to deliver successful and media partnership initiatives including content production within scope and on schedule
- Support the manager in the execution of day-to-day tasks.
- Monitor industry trends, audience insights, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and ensure Netball Australia remains at the forefront of media innovation.
- Assist with project-related tasks, including research, data analysis, and presentation preparation.
About You
Key Attributes, Skills and Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience in media, broadcast, and content industries. Sport desirable but not essential.
- Experience in developing and managing original / non-live programming and content projects and opportunities
- Strong understanding of digital media platforms and content distribution channels.
- Experience in contract management and partnership development.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive analysis and support the development of strategic business plans.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners as required.
- Experience in adopting industry best practice or developing new best practices in seeking out growth opportunities and/or efficiencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of the Australian sporting media landscape, particularly netball, is highly desirable.

The role is based at Netball’s Head Office in Fitzroy/Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country where you will be spoilt for choice on great coffee spots! Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required.
