Description

Council is seeking experienced and driven swim coaches to join our coaching team at Shellharbour City Swim School to guide and enhance our squad participants at different skill levels in a positive training environment. Candidates should have previous experience in coaching groups, delivering quality programming, outstanding communication abilities and a strong dedication to cultivating our teams in our various squad categories. 

Our squad levels consist of Mini, Development, Multi Sport, Fitness, and Adult levels, catering to a diverse range of swimmers. Our goal is to provide consistent support to our members as they achieve progress in both technique and performance. With memberships exceeding 900 swimmers in our swim school, our squad programs run year-round.

Our squad programs operate Monday - Friday. You will need to be available of a morning 5.45am - 8am, afternoon from 3:30pm - 6:00pm (6.30pm in Summer) with possibilities of weekend work.

Shellharbour has 3 aquatic chlorinated pool facilities in the local government area including our year round heated pools at Oak Flats. 

The squad programs are held at our heated Oak Flats pools all year round, with our additional seasonal pools in Albion Park and Warilla hosting intensive programs during the summer school holidays.

  • Casual positions available with a commencing hourly rate from $38.30 up to $40.65 per hour including casual leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience) 
  • Flexibility of shifts ranging from Monday to Sunday, working up to 38 hours per week depending on current enrolments
  • 11.5% superannuation

Please Note: 

  • This position requires a current "Working with Children Check" clearance in accordance with the 'Child Protection (WWC) Act 2012 for Paid workers
