Some exciting changes have been made to the management and operations of the Wagga Wagga Bolton Park recreational facilities meaning that there will be a new way of working, allowing Council to offer a diverse range of essential recreational facilities and services, all operating under one management model.
The new model includes the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre, and Workout Wagga Gym. This means that in the future, members of the community will be able to access the facilities such as the pool, gym, and tennis centre under a joint membership.
What does this mean?
It is a very exciting time to join an expanding team with new positions available that will assist with the overarching vision for all the facilities. The Positions Available:
Health & Fitness Team Leader
This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the operations of Workout Wagga Gym and providing health and wellbeing offerings to patrons across Council’s fitness and leisure facilities.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Researching and delivering of a wide range of appropriate fitness activities and programs to customers across Council’s leisure facilities including Oasis Regional Aquatics Centre, Jim Elphick Tennis Centre, Workout Wagga Gym, Bolton Park Stadium and the Multi-Purpose Stadium.
- Managing instructors and program providers to ensure compliance, appropriate training and alignment with industry best practices and excellence in customer service.
- Providing advice and assistance to the Programs Team Leader in matters relating to the improvement of group fitness classes and tailored programs.
- Assisting new and current members on their health and fitness journey by engaging with members, seeking feedback, conducting fitness assessments, and creating personal exercise programs.

Tennis Facility Team Leader
This position is responsible for the effective and efficient management and operations of the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and deliver a wide range of tennis programs, competitions and private coaching to facility customers and members.
- Management and on-going professional development of casual tennis staff and coaches ensuring compliance, appropriate training and qualifications, and alignment with Tennis Australia and Council objectives.
- Oversee the customer service, café and event operations of the Jim Elphick Tennis Centre clubhouse ensuring a quality customer experience.

Oasis Customer Service Team Leader
This position is responsible for providing efficient and effective financial administration and customer service for Council’s fitness and leisure facilities.
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Lead the Customer Service Team and ensure high quality customer service across all fitness and leisure facilities.
- Oversee financial, business administration and cash handling responsibilities including receipting, reconciliation, and petty cash.
- Oversee the operation of the Oasis Aquatic Centre Café ensuring adequate staffing, budgeting, stock ordering, presentation, and compliance with relevant legislative requirements.
- Maintain and operate leisure management software across all Council fitness and leisure facilities including providing training and advice to staff.
