Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre, located in the beautiful Hills Shire Council area, is looking for a Swim Instructor / Swim Coach to join our pool operations team. Our award-winning complex includes a 10-lane 50m outdoor Olympic-sized pool, additional 25m outdoor pool and two indoor learn to swim and leisure pools, along with a water play area.

Duties include:
- Plan, organise, and conduct lessons and/or swim squad sessions.
- Implement aquatic swim teaching education plans as per the program curriculum to achieve outcomes.
- Follow AUSTSWIM, ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY, SWIM AUSTRALIA and ASTCA Teaching & Coaching Guidelines.
- Undertake accident & incident investigations & reporting in accordance with Council requirements.
About the role:
- Qualified Swim Instructors
Flexibility to work during the program hours, weekdays 3:30pm – 8:00pm and/or Saturday 12:00pm – 4:00pm. - Qualified Swim Coach
Available to coach at least 3 mornings and up to 4 afternoons a week and have the flexibility to coach on Saturday Mornings and attend targeted meets where required.
Suitable candidates will be responsible for the skill development of swimmers with a range of skill levels to achieve outcomes through training programs that meet the program criteria and the individual swimmers goals.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Prior experience in swim teaching.
- Relevant Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification and/or Swim Coaching qualification.
- First Aid - (HLTAID011) and CPR - (HLTAID009)
- NSW Working with Children Check
