About the position:
The College is seeking an experienced, passionate Gymnastics Coach to cover a member of the gymnastics team for a 12 month maternity leave position. This is an exciting opportunity in a supportive and fun team, which delivers gymnastics programs for both school and club pathways. The successful applicant will be:
- knowledgeable in the field of gymnastic techniques, with a strong foundation of safety awareness
- an inspirational role model for the athletes and junior coaches
- confident in holistic athlete development and promoting inclusivity in all aspects of coaching
- a team player with professionalism and collegiality
- responsible for artistic gymnastics squad training, grading days and testing
- equipped to prepare students for competitions eg. IPSHA and IGSA
- able to attend competitions club, regional, state, nationals (willingness to travel required)
- involved in completing the administration and programming for recreational classes
- involved in delivering artistic gymnastics physical education classes for junior and senior school students
The successful candidate will have:
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Working With Children Check clearance
- Women's Artistic Gymnastics Judging Qualification (desirable)
The position is a temporary part-time position (28 hours per week), which includes weekday and weekend shifts.
