Reports to: Head Swimming Coach

As a Swimming Coach, you will use your technical expertise to develop young athletes, focusing on enhancing their race skills and overall swimming technique. You will engage and motivate swimmers, fostering their development and encouraging them to maximize their potential. Building strong relationships with swimmers through positive and effective communication is key to this role.

You will also be involved in our Squad and Learn to Swim programs, and support the IPSHA and IGSA swimming programs as needed. Attendance at swimming meets, school swimming trials, and carnivals is required, along with contributing to fortnightly staff meetings.

Compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation is essential, as is maintaining a high standard of service excellence. You will communicate swimmer progress to parents and ensure a positive professional image for Abbotsleigh.

Essential Qualifications:

• Working With Children Check.
• Current Foundation Coach certificate (formerly known as Competitive Strokes).
• Current Bronze Medallion certification.
• Current recognised First Aid certificate.
• Current CPR certificate.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Development Coach certification.
• Previous experience in Aquatics Education.
