About Golf WA and Golf Australia:
Australian Golf is experiencing unprecedented growth and has committed to an exciting journey of change. Golf WA, is central to this as the governing body for golf in the State, in conjunction with Golf Australia, the National governing body for golf.
Our purpose is to have “more Australians playing more golf”, and our philosophy is that “all golf is golf, and all of us can be golfers”.
Under the new Australian Golf Strategy we position golf as “a sport for life and fun for all”. From the 3.5 million Australians that are a member of a golf club, a round player playing social golf, a ball hitter at a driving range, a mini golfer playing with family and friends, to the 5.8 million Australians who have said that they want to play but are not yet participating, and the 7.23 million Australians who visit golf facilities for non-golfing activities each year, all are vital in achieving our strategic goals.
