Reporting directly to the Manager- Strategic Projects at Sydney FC, you will plan and deliver engaging football sessions at primary and secondary schools while ensuring the overall quality of program delivery to enhance Sydney FC’s brand reputation, customer experience, and program objectives. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing a network of coaches to maintain high standards across all sessions.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, coaches, and external stakeholders will be key to expanding the program’s reach. Additionally, you will work proactively to implement new initiatives that align with Sydney FC’s Fan Engagement Strategy, driving growth and innovation in the education space.
The ideal candidate should have experience planning and delivering quality football programs, can juggle a range of initiatives at the same time and be flexible in working hours, dates and locations, and fast adapting in a high-paced environment.
To be considered for this role you will have the ability to be an outstanding communicator, forecaster and planner. You will have the capacity operate proactively, often without instruction, to deliver the education operations. You must be capable to coach at a community level.

Key Responsibilities
Schools
- Recruit, plan and deliver all the Sydney FC schools programs (Sky Blues in Schools), driving towards yearly targets
- Provide on-going management of all school programs for the duration of each program to ensure delivery standards and chance of renewal
- Work with the Development Officers for each region of Sydney FC’s footprint to build school database, identify schools program promotions and run a recruitment days for future programs.
- Manage administrative tasks related to program operations, scheduling, communication and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with schools, coaches, and community stakeholders
- Be the first point of contact for schools - e-mails, calls, etc.
- Manage the Sydney Catholic Schools partnership contractual obligations and work on new initiatives
- Schedule and arrange new and existing school initiatives, such as Schools Blitz and educational programs etc.
Education Projects & Initiatives / Other
- Manage all operational tasks for Sydney FC’s Sports and Business Diploma powered by SEDA
- Based on market research, create new educational initiatives based on opportunities
- Work internally to ensure equipment is returned and a stocktake is completed after each term.
- Recruit, plan and deliver all Junior Adventures Group (JAG) sessions, driving towards yearly targets
- Work closely with the Coach Development Officer to resource coaches across all education programs and events
- Facilitate all educational Sky Park tours
- Execution of tasks, many and varied, as directed by the Manager, Strategic Projects
Fan Engagement
- Lead the supervision at holiday clinics, as directed by the Fan Engagement Team
- Support the Development Officers (where required)
- Coach in the Fan Engagement Programs where directed. This could include in-school programs or after school programs.
- Assist with ALM and ALW home matchdays and other club events, such as Members Day.
