In this casual role you will be part of our passionate Health and Fitness Crew who take pride in working together to enhance the fitness of Central Coast Council residents and guests. Along with your expertise in developing and delivering quality group fitness classes and programs, you will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer centric approach which ensures clients are able to meet their fitness goals in a safe and supportive environment.
The successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis with shifts available at our leisure facilities in Woy Woy, Gosford, Toukley and Lake Haven. Casual staff should be available for various classes in line with our group fitness timetables, between the hours of 6:00am and 7:30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday mornings.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key activities of this role include:
- Deliver high quality fitness classes to enable participants to achieve their personal development goals and improve the health and fitness of the community;
- Ensure participant safety at all times through provision of safe activities and continual surveillance of fitness class members;
- Maintain excellent and ongoing customer focus within the business, to ensure a positive experience for all users.
Essential requirements include:
- Registered Fitness Professional - Group Exercise Leader or Aqua, GEL or equivalent professional accreditation;
- Current Provide First Aid qualification (HLTAID003 / HLTAID011);
- Current Provide Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) (HLTAID001 / HLTAID009);
- Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number as per Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013, or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment;
- Demonstrated experience delivering group fitness classes or programs;
- Demonstrated ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment to achieve organisational goals and outcomes;
- Strong customer service ethos and a demonstrated customer-centric approach to service provision;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff and members of the public both verbally and in writing;
It is the responsibility of successful applicants to undertake a course of Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations or to demonstrate their immunity prior to commencement of employment.
