THE ROLE
U@MQ is currently seeking a full-time Development Swimming Coach to join the Macquarie University Sports and Aquatics Centre (MUSAC) team. Reporting to the Head Coach, the Development Swimming Coach will be responsible for delivering face to face training sessions for the 14 & Under Development program; targeting Metropolitan & State Age qualifiers.

Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) is a multi-purpose venue located at Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde. The facility includes a 6-lane indoor heated pool and an 8-lane outdoor Olympic-sized heated pool. The coaching team provides expert coaching and technical guidance to competitive swimmers of all ages.

Essential Role Requirements

*** Work hours will vary throughout the competition season. Must be available to work on a rotating roster seven (7) days per week and available to work split shifts.
Essential Selection Criteria
- SCTA Development Coach certification
- Demonstrated ability to coach swimmers of all levels and backgrounds
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including handling sensitive matters regarding participants in a respectful and confidential manner
- Proven experience in customer service and complaints handling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Availability for rotating roster and split shift work.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- SCTA Coaching Open Water Swimmers
- ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning
- AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Adults, or Masters Coaching Accreditation
