Head Coach - Rowing

MLC School are looking for an experienced Rowing Coach to join our Sports Department as the Head Coach in our Rowing program, working shifts across Monday to Saturday.  As the  Head Coach – Rowing, you will be responsible for both the on-water and land-based components of the MLC School Rowing Program. The Head Coach will mentor students and other rowing coaches to achieve success and personal growth as well as the growth of the program.

About the position

• Head Coach – Rowing is responsible for both the on-water and land based components of the MLC School Rowing Program. The Head Coach will mentor students and other rowing coaches to achieve success and personal growth as well as the growth of the program.  The Head Coach will:
• Develop and mentor coaching staff while ensuring school policies are adhered to.
• Develop and implement the school specific coaching program
• Provide programming for both on-water and land sessions in conjunction with the Head of Program
• Coordinate and manage the crew selection process
• Manage and Lead the annual Head of Yarra Excursion
• Provide a weekly communication to all students updating events for the following week and any information relevant to the upcoming training week and events. 

 Essential qualifications for this position include:

• Rowing Australia – Level 2 Coach Accreditation
• At least 5 Years Coaching at a school or club level
• NSW Boat Drivers Licence
• Ability to develop Season and weekly programs specific to Rowing
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Experience in managing staff
