ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a part-time position working 26 hours per week. The rostered hours for this position will include a full day on Sunday and Monday plus three afternoon shifts.
Reporting to the Learn to Swim Coordinator, the role will be responsible for the delivery of safe, professional and well-organised Learn to Swim lessons by providing high quality customer service and administrative support.
The Learn to Swim Supervisor is the public the face of the Learn to Swim Program and will ensure the experience of all participants in the Learn to Swim Program meets our customer’s expectations.
With the ability to teach lessons and provide administrative assistance with enquires, assessments, school events and rostering when required, the Learn to Swim Supervisor will continuously seek opportunities to grow and improve the skills and teaching techniques of the Learn to Swim team.

SELECTION CRITERIA
- At least two years’ experience in a Learn to Swim facility
- Demonstrated understanding of competency-based development programs
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
- A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
Previous experience working in an aquatic or fitness centre or independent school and additional AUSTSWIM qualifications will be advantageous.
