We are seeking a part-time, permanent Head Coach of Gymnastics and Diving to help take our programs to the next level. The Ascham Program consists of both club and school competitions. A competitive remuneration package will be provided based on experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
The position will have the responsibility for developing an innovative and engaging Gymnastics and Diving (including Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics) program that maximises the positive effects of school sports involvement for our students. As the Head of Gymnastics and Diving, you will lead the development of staff and students to drive the Ascham programs to the next level. This important role will ensure that the gymnastics and diving programs form an important pillar within the entire sports program ensuring that every student is well supported regardless of ability or age in a safe and friendly environment that fosters and encourages both excellence and good sportsmanship amongst participants.
What do you need to succeed?
- A “Level 2 Development” Coaching Qualification in Gymnastics and Diving (or willingness to obtain this qualification).
- Demonstrated coaching experience within a youth sports context with a strong background across the 6-18 years age bracket including across both gymnastics and diving.
- An ability to be an effective team member, including initiative, passion, willingness to collaborate and people management skills to drive holistic sports involvement.
- Proven experience in coaching and/or leading other coaches in their discipline
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC)
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
